Imox Herbicide – 12.1% Imazamox – 1 Quart (Same AI, Replaces Raptor, Clearcast, and Beyond) Imox Herbicide is labeled for the control of vegetation in and around aquatic and non-cropland sites including areas that may be grazed or cut for hay. (not safe on grass hay) Imox controls grass & labeled broadleaf weeds and has a limited residual effect as well. It is an excellent choice for the serious Wildlife Food Plot grower who is looking for a single application for weed control. It is safe on Alfalfa, Clover and Chickory. Imox Herbicide is a selective herbicide that will control floating, emerged and shoreline weed species while allowing desirable plants to colonize. Imox is ideal for aquatic areas used for fishing and other recreation activities, while minimal irrigation restrictions allow Imox to be applied in a large variety of aquatic environments, including golf course ponds and irrigation canals and ditches. How It WorksAs Imox is absorbed through the leaves, stems and roots of vegetation, it binds with an enzyme found only in plants, and not found in humans, mammals, birds, fish or insects. Sensitive plants stop growing within 24 hours after treatment, and then slowly break down as food and energy reserves are exhausted. The rate at which plants age varies with plant size and growth habit. Imox has a very favorable environmental profile, and is classified as practically nontoxic to birds, fish, algae and aquatic invertebrates. It’s the only herbicide on the market that has been granted a tolerance exemption by the EPA, which means there are no food residue limits for Imox in fish, shellfish, crustaceans or irrigated crops. Approximate use rate: 4-6 ounces per acre Small batch Sprayers: Approximately 1 teaspoon per gallon to cover 1000 sq ft, plus 1 ounce of Nitro-Surf According to label, use an 80% minimum non-ionic surfactant (NIS) at the use rate of 1 quart per 100 gallons. If you are from these states, do not purchase this product!For control of many annual and perennial grasses and herbaceous weeds Diuron 80DF applied before emergence of crop and weeds is an effective procedure because susceptible weeds are controlled in an early, vulnerable seedling stage before they compete with the crop. With favorable moisture conditions, Diuron 80DF continues to control weeds for some time as the crop becomes better able to compete. Should weed seedlings begin to break through the pre-emergence treatment in significant numbers, secondary weed control procedures should be implemented; these include cultivation and post-emergence herbicide application. Diuron 80DF is not to be used on turfgrass at residential sites (including homes, apartment complexes,condominium grounds, daycare facilities, schools, parks, recreational areas, and sports fields). Diuron 80DF may be applied to soil prior to emergence of weeds to control susceptible weed seedlings for an extended period of time. The degree of control and duration of effect will vary with the amount of chemical applied, soil texture, rainfall, and other conditions. Soils high in clay or organic matter require higher dosages than soils low in clay or organic matter for equivalent herbicide performance. Moisture is required to activate the herbicide. Best results occur if rainfall (or sprinkler irrigation) occurs within 2 weeks of application. Diuron 80DF may also be used to control emerged weeds. Results vary with rate applied and environmental conditions. Best results are obtained on succulent weeds growing under conditions of high humidity and temperature of 70°F or higher.
