The triethanolamine in this product prevents the precipitation of the copper with the carbonates or bicarbonates in the water. This product was made especially to control growth of algae in all types of swimming pools. Its long lasting action will control existing algae and subsequent doses will control recontamination…no waiting. This product comes concentrated. Dilute with at least nine parts of water before applying. Pour required amount of this product into plastic watering can, fill with water and sprinkle around edge of pool. Directions for Use: Dilute appropriate amount of product with at least nine parts water and pour directly into pool while the filter system is operating. To allow time for even distribution in pool water, bathers must allow 10 minutes after treatment before entering pool. Apply 2 oz. per 5,000 gallons of water (or equivalent) under sunny conditions for most effective results. Do not exceed label recommendations. If algae growth is visible: apply initial dose, then vacuum pool after 24 hours to remove dead algae, If pool is heavy with algae growth, first brush algae spots, vacuum, clean and scrub the pool walls.
